Alcohol worms

In my dream I saw thick and awkward trees that had no leafs. White strings were wrapped or hanging all over the tree. I went there with some men. We had buckets and we started to collect the strings. Long, round and thick they were and very slippery. They were alcohol worms that drunk poison from the tree, which they then turned into alcohol. When boiled, these worms became very stiff and they were used as salty snacks, which also got the eater drunk.
